Progress in treatment of alcoholic liver disease

Abstract: Alcoholic liver disease(ALD) is one of the most common liver diseases. The treatment of severe alcoholic hepatitis(SAH)and the control of alcohol abuse are the hot spots in this field. Child-Pugh class,Maddrey discriminate function,the model of end-stage liver disease(MELD),Glasgow alcoholic hepatitis score,age/bilirubin/INR/creatinine(ABIC)score,and Lille score systems can be used to predict the prognosis of patients with SAH. Liver transplantation is still the major treatment for patients with ALD at end-stage illness.
