Abstract: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) often leads to chronic hepatitis B. Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs), an important recognition molecules, play a pivotal role in recognizing pathogen and inducing antiviral immune response since the early stage of virus infection. In this review,we expounded the definition, types, and signal paths of PRRs,which were divided into Toll-like receptors and Toll-independent pattern recognition receptors, and we finally summarized the roles of PRRs in the process of HBV infection.

Key words: Hepatitis B virus, Pattern recognition receptors, Toll-like receptors
