Intestinal microecology in patients with alcoholic liver diseases

Abstract: Objective Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is one of the major causes of death related to liver disease over the world. The alcohol consumption and the related diseases have become a global health burden. There is growing evidence of strong correlation of intestinal microbiome disorders to liver diseases. The translocation of bacteria and their products caused by the destruction of the intestinal barrier is the key factor to lead to complications of liver diseases. In recent years, many new biomarkers and therapeutic targets are the hotspots in the field of ALD studies.
