Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome: What we know about?

Abstract: Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome (FHCS) has been reported for almost 100 years since 1919, but the definition and etiology of it became a topic of debate among scholars and clinicians since the first discovery of a male patient in 1970 .In this paper, based on documented literatures, we puts forward that FHCS might be defined in a narrow or broad way, and reviews the progress of generalized FHCS in etiology , pathogenesis, clinical features, complications, diagnosis and therapy.
