Abstract: Incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is increasing worldwide. The development of HCC tends to be related to hepatitis virus infection. However, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is another important cause of hepatocellular carcinoma. In recent years, with the change of lifestyle and diet habits, the incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is increasing, and more and more studies have focus on the relationship between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. The process, risk factors and mechanism of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease–related hepatocellular carcinoma will be reviewed in this paper.
