Abstract: Objective To investigate the expressions of suppressor of cytokine signaling 1(SOCS1),vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR2)and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)in liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma tissues. Methods The expression of SOCS1 were examined with immunohistochemical technique in the specimens from 63 HCC tissues,51 paracarcinoma tissues,11 LC tissues, and 11 normal liver tissues, and the expressions of VEGFR2 and EGFR in 27 and in 41 HCC tissues, respectively. Results The positive rate of SOCS1 expression was significantly higher in paracarcinoma tissues than that in the HCC tissues(P<0.001),and it was not positive in LC and normal liver tissues; The expression of SOCS1 was significantly correlated with the size of tumor(P<0.001);There was no significant correlation between the expression of SOCS1 and the expression of VEGFR2 or EGFR in HCC tissues. Conclusions The expression of SOCS1 is closely correlated with the occurrence and development of HCC.
