Pharmacokinetics and adverse reactions of copper ion chelating agents

Abstract: Copper chelators,such as penicillamine,trientine and dimercaptosuccinic acid,ets,has been commonly used in treatment of patients with Wilson's disease(WD). We summarized some different types of adverse reactions often occurredin clinical practice and introduced some pharmacokinetic data,which might be useful for clinicians.
